Welcome back on La Blanca Village&Resort’s blog. The road from Castellammare del Golfo to San Vito lo Capo leads to one of the most famous natural sites of Italy: The Zingaro Nature Riserve, a necessary step for those who wish to visit a timeless nature where past and present meet each other and it’s only 14 km far from our resort.

The dwarf palm, spread all over the area, is the undisputed symbol of the Reserve; its leaves were used by the farmers to make everyday objects, many of them still preserved in the Museum of the Reserve.

The flora is composed of olive trees, ash trees, carob trees, cork trees and typical plants of the area.

The best way for enjoying of the nature is to walk along its paths, not to disturb the several birds species that live in this place.
If you go there by car, you can park at the entrance where you can also buy the tickets.
We suggest you to start your excursion in the early morning, wear comfortable shoes, bring fresh water and a lunch box to enjoy your walk through the coves: Cala Marinella, Cala Beretta, Cala della Disa or Zingaro, Cala del Varo, Cala della Capreria, Cala dell’Uzzo till San Vito lo Capo.

Opening times:
